Praises, travel mercies:
Cathy Clement is in Alabama this weekend. Praise for a happy 16th birthday for Miss Veronica and travel mercies for Cathy's safe return.
We pray for travel mercies for all those 'on the road' this coming Christmas season: the McManameys, Phil Ridgway and Susan Fitzhugh, the Benfields are on the road this weekend.
We had a visitor to our class this Sunday: Vaughan Kennedy. Vaughan and Peggy Kennedy joined Potomac Crest last Sunday.
Prayers:
Please keep praying for Doug's mom's long-term recovery. Also the McManamey family members.
We are also praying for Phil Ridgway's brother, suffering from depression.
Please keep praying for all the needs in our church, and for God's will to continue to be manifest in what our Potomac Crest church community does to serve.
Angie Blanton asked that we pass the word. Next Sunday 12/20 at 2 p.m., the Angel Tree volunteers will be getting together to distribute the presents collected for children in need. Angie says they could use more volunteers to help with the distribution.
Also, John Flowers asked that we include the following request. Many of our Sunday School classes choose a mission, something they want to work toward. Please be in prayer for our class as we attempt to figure out if we are ready to choose something to be involved in, and if so what it might be. All ideas are, of course, welcome.

By the Book Prayer Requests for Sunday 12/6/2009
Praises, travel mercies:
Pastor Doug and Deb are back home from transporting his mother from Florida to Tennessee, where she will be with his sister.
John Flowers gave praise -- everyone in his extended family is doing better, and only one is currently in the hospital.
Phil Ridgway also gave thanks -- his work situation is not resolved, but it is clearly more stable than it has been.
Larry Springer gave praises: his wife Nora is back home, and doing well.
Phil and Sue will be on the road this coming Sunday, traveling to Pennsylvania to be with family.
Cathy Clement will be traveling to Alabama this coming weekend. Her daughter Veronica will have her 16th birthday on the 14th, and long story short needs her mother.
We pray for travel mercies for all those 'on the road' this coming Christmas season.
Prayers:
Please keep praying for Doug's mom's long-term recovery. She has damage to her liver, and maintaining liver function will be a problem.
The McManameys mentioned Claudia's sister Roberta, with a broken kneecap from a fall. She will not need surgery. Also, their granddaughter Kathryn; she is suffering from a very painful kidney stone.
Phil Ridgway asked for prayers for his brother, suffering from depression. Please pray that he will find guidance, and for patience for Phil and Sue.
Please keep praying for all the needs in our church, and for God's will to continue to be manifest in what our Potomac Crest church community does to serve.
