Praises:
Becky and Jason Bolton close Wednesday on their house purchase -- as someone said at Sunday school, it's good to know they're moving from renting to buying... it means they're staying.
Susan Fitzhugh got the new job she had interviewed for. She has three weeks of leave after quitting her old job at Giant.
Phil Ridgeway said his brother had gone out to the Los Angeles area to help his father move himself and his belongings to an assisted living setting. He offered praises and asked for prayers for the success of the move and bringing his father to the Lord.
Prayer requests:
The Boltons are moving! (see praises, above) They need to pack, move furniture, unpack, paint, organize and take care of children on Wednesday and Thursday... help and prayers very much welcomed.
Andy Wheeler is having surgery on his knee (the first) on March 16th. Pray for success, rapid healing, and support for TJ and Sean.
Belle Spencer, cousin to Patty Tucker, passed away suddenly at age 64. Pray for comfort for Patty and the family.
AWANA had 103 clubbers participating this past Wednesday! This is great work for the Lord that our church is doing. Please pray for it; we need leaders for the T&T group (grade 3 through 6), in particular men to help with this ministry.
Please be in prayer for the families in our church that are suffering due to the current economic crisis, in particular folks who have lost their jobs due to layoffs. There are neighbors and friends hurting...
Valerie Dinwiddie asked for continuing prayers for her father, who has congestive pulmonary disorder in addition to his recovery from cancer -- he had a CT scan this past week.
Jim McManamey mentioned that he'd been in touch with Eric Zerkle; he has a job at Northrop Grumman out in Tucson, but it's a difficult commute and he is hoping for a job closer to home... something might come up at Raytheon.
Announcements:
The Truth Project is meeting every Sunday evening at the McManamey home. Please get in touch with Jim McM. or John Flowers if you want to know more about the course.
Don't forget to contribute a quilt square for Gail Ryder's Family Square Quilt Project. The plan is to sew a quilt, have the men build a frame, and decorate part of the new addition with the quilt. Any moneys not used for the quilt will be added to the Building Fund.
Ongoing Prayers:
Don't forget to pray for our building effort and the faith of our congregation, all of us pulling together.
