Praises:
Phil Ridgway has been trying to find a new job; although the job he currently has now seems more secure, he's still worried and looking. Last Friday, out of the blue, he got a request from Navy HR for his basic documents. Let's keep praying that he finds where the Lord wants him to be.
Pastor Doug is returning this week. We wish him renewed strength and enthusiasm.
Prayers:
Claudia McManamey is out of Mt. Vernon Rehab Hospital, and at home. This will be a big adjustment, and the Family Needs ministry will be looking to help. Please keep praying for her and Jim and the family as she continues to improve. Jim thanks everyone for their prayers -- they are definitely helping. You can read the latest update and show your support at: http://www.caringbridge.org/visit/claudiamcmanamey .
Jim is beginning to think about the future; one possible idea is that he can retire. Pray for his guidance and strength.
Gail Ryder says she is working on her family and personal issues, 'one day at a time.' This week, she reports, was a pretty positive one.
Larry Springer tells us Nora, his wife, did not come home last night. She has occasionally gone to stay at a local hotel. He will wait a few days and, if she doesn't return, put in a missing persons report. We pray for healing strength for both Larry and his wife.
Rhonda Pierce asked for prayers for peace in her family. Her husband and her 20-year-old daughter have been quarreling.
John Flowers asks for prayers: his family is going through a fair amount of turmoil, between his mom, his son's wedding plans, his sister... we pray for peace and strength for all.
We remember those still suffering and trying to rebuild in Haiti and now in Chile.
As always, please also keep praying for all the needs in our church, and for God's will to continue to be manifest in what our Potomac Crest church community does to serve.
