Praises, travel mercies:
Pastor Doug is on the middle leg of a marathon tour that took him to the Newport News area, then to Fort Campbell to baptize his granddaughter, and now heading back home. We hope he has easy travels and manages to get some peace and quiet.
Prayer requests:
Sue Fitzhugh asked for prayers for her daughter Staci, working on career decisions. Sue prays she will decide to keep working on her biology/premed degree...
Larry Springer reports that his wife Nora is back in institutional care; a magistrate's hearing took place on Monday. She needs help, but Larry is worried that she will be released without adequate medical treatment. We pray for discernment by the system and healing for Nora.
Rhonda Pierce asked for continued prayers for her daughter Brittney's decisions. She is still staying with her grandmother, and has childcare and transportation help, but she keeps saying she wants to return to this area, where she has none of these things unless she can pay for them... Dwayne Pierce asked for prayers for his older sister Daphne, who is in a very volatile marital situation, which is currently involving physical violence.
Becky Bolton mentioned both praises and prayers. God's blessings are too numerous to mention, but there are still needs. Financial ones, for one; Jason is trying to find work and some way to help the family. We pray that Becky and Jason will find the way forward, with God's help.
We are still praying for Susan Robinson, still weak but gradually recovering at home.
Also, please pray for those with money or job troubles in Woodbridge and Prince William County as well as all those recovering from the volcanic eruption and tsunami in Indonesia, floods in Pakistan, and the earthquake (and now cholera epidemic) in Haiti.
