Praises, travel mercies:
We celebrate Gail and Charles' upcoming wedding, 11/26.
John Flowers traveling to Houston this weekend to help his mother celebrate her 90th birthday.
Prayer requests:
Please pray for Cathy Clement. A prescription change reduced her antidepressant dosage, and she has been battling severe depression for a couple of weeks. She has now doubled her dosage, and we pray for her overcoming the disease.
Larry asked for continuing prayers for his wife Nora. He tried to get her admitted for mental health treatment, but the therapist who reviewed the case refused to commit her. He will be looking for other ways to get her help.
We're also praying for Jerry Pruitt, going into quadruple bypass surgery on Tuesday; and for his wife Tamara, for putting her burdens in the hands of the Great Physician; and for discernment and steady hands for the surgeons...
...And for Bill and April King, still grieving the sudden death last week of Bill's father Bill Sr., for comfort and peace in the certain knowledge that he is with the Father and they will see him again.
Dee Stayner asked for continuing prayers for her sister Nancy, still hoping to have someone (besides her lawyer) to go with her at her court appearance in late December.
Claudia McManamey asked for prayers for a niece (nephew's ex-wife), Becky; her son (Alex, in his early twenties) has told her he no longer wants to associate with her or have her visit him; she is very distraught. The son has been diagnosed as bipolar, and his actions are affecting both of them.
Phil Ridgway asked for continuing prayers for his mom, trying to get into an assisted living facility.
Please keep praying for our church. With growth come organizational and space/facilities problems, and we need prayer and discernment in the church body to hear God's will for us.
