By the Book Sunday School Class: Prayer Requests for Sunday 6/7/09

Praises:
The Zerkles are back in Woodbridge! They got in late Saturday. Eric started to work on Monday 6/8, and they hoped to close on a new house on Wednesday 6/10. They have a tenant for their house in Arizona. We hope to see them at church next week.
Rhonda Pierce offered praises -- she graduated last Saturday from college with a degree in information technology. Her parents came up to see her graduate.
Praises to all who helped feed folks at the Hilda Barg homeless prevention center on Tuesday 6/9, either by contributing food or serving.
Praises -- and prayers -- for all the graduating high school seniors, starting on a new part of their lives.
Travel mercies for Mike Benfield's mom, traveling up from Florida to spend time with all her family, especially her mother and brother.
Last but certainly not least, we welcome back JK Flowers, John's son, back to Potomac Crest this Sunday after a year's absence.

Prayers:
Anita Hampton asked for prayers for her coworker Debbie, who has congestive heart failure. She stopped breathing for a time in a recent incident, and has a lot of fluid in her lungs. She was drained of the fluid in the hospital, and should have come home on Sunday or Monday. Please pray for her continual recovery.
Gail Ryder asked for prayers for her daughter Raven, who is still recovering from knee surgery on May 28. She still has some pain, and was to see her doctor on Monday and start physical therapy this week.
Kim Glasoe asked for prayers -- she has a medical test this week.
Jim and Claudia McManamey asked for prayers for their son John, whose job search continues. Also, Claudia McManamey is recovering from shoulder surgery; she is almost ready to begin physical therapy.  Please keep praying for her recovery.
Eileen Kramer offered prayers for a sister, Susie, who has just suffered the second house fire of her life. She is having a hard time getting over this incident.
Please keep praying for one of our church members, Toni Reynolds, who had a serious car accident almost three weeks ago. She is now in rehabilitation at Mt. Vernon with a jaw wired shut and a broken collarbone.  Please keep the whole family in your prayers.
Let's not forget to pray for people in economic distress in our own church and neighborhoods.   Also, please keep praying for the whole church, the leadership, and for God's will in all the many projects we are undertaking.
And don't forget, we are still collecting Bibles and Christian books to send to India to the IBL.
