Prayers:
Rhonda Pierce asks for prayers for her daughter, Brittany and for the family. There is a serious family situation. Pray for discernment and for God's will to be manifest.
Winnie Cooper, one of our church's most beloved seniors, has been in the hospital since fainting late last week. She is recovering; doctors have found some heart irregularities and are trying to stabilize her blood pressure. [No visitors yet, but cards and email are welcome.] We pray for full recovery, and are eager to have her back with us.
We continue to pray for Claudia McManamey, who has now been home for going on six weeks. You can, as always, read the latest update and show your support at: http://www.caringbridge.org/visit/claudiamcmanamey. Please leave a note if you visit the site.
John Flowers has been put into an intense proposal-writing project at his job, which will occupy him more than full-time for the next six weeks or so. Please pray for success and sanity in God's peace, as the Flowers deal with JK's upcoming wedding, work pressures and planning and working for Vacation Bible School.
John Clement asks for prayers for his son Jay, dealing with personal problems. Please pray for strength. Also his stepdaughter Lily, about to give birth to their second child -- maybe this week! And Cathy has two more weeks of her online class... pray for continued grace under pressure as she deals with work and homework.
Lydia Flowers and Heather Zerkle, and other volunteers, are planning and preparing for Vacation Bible School, in late June. Please be in prayer about VBS and consider how you might be able to turn your talents to helping...
We continue to remember and pray for the people suffering in Haiti. We are still collecting for the Annie Armstrong fund.
Please pray for guidance and wisdom as our church looks for the Lord to tell us what we as a church need to do next.
