By the Book Prayer Requests for Sunday 8/22/2010

Praises, travel mercies:
John Flowers and family are back from visiting his mother in Houston. She is 87 and ailing. Cathy Clement is returning from a visit with her daughter Veronica in Alabama.
Gail Byrd-Ryder told us her son Justin is down at Fort A.P. Hill for a week at an ROTC Leadership camp.

Prayers:
Larry Springer said his wife Nora has committed herself voluntarily to a mental health ward in Manassas. We pray for doctors' discernment and divine intervention for her healing.
Becky Bolton says she heard through Jason's father that Jason is making progress, "on the right path". As for herself and their children, they continue strong and happy. And Becky goes back to nursing school on Tuesday. They had a good beach trip, which the children thoroughly enjoyed, thanks to help from some church members.

As always, we continue to pray for Claudia McManamey and Jim and the family; for John Clement's son Jay; for Phil Ridgway's brother, nephew, and his father; and for Winnie Cooper's full recovery.
And, of course, we continue to remember and pray for the people suffering and trying to rebuild in Haiti, and we add the thousands lost or displaced by severe flooding in Pakistan and China.
